2ND ANNUAL BLUFF CITY TEXAS HOLD ‘EM OPEN RAISES $31,600 FOR UNITED CEREBRAL PALSY OF THE MID-SOUTH

SENDS TWO TO WORLD SERIES OF POKER MAIN EVENT IN LAS VEGAS

Memphis, Tennessee – United Cerebral Palsy (UCP) of the Mid-South will once again partnered with the Grand Casino Resort and Harrah’s Entertainment for the Second Annual Bluff City Texas Hold ‘Em Open on Saturday, May 20th, and Sunday, May 21st. The event raised $31,600 for UCP of the Mid-South.

Winners of this year’s tournament received a seat in the World Series of Poker Main Event at the Rio in Las Vegas and travel expenses valued at $11,500. Scott Wood of Collierville, TN took home first place in Saturday’s action and Dale Gleneck of Memphis won Sunday’s round. Each has earned a seat in the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in July. The winner of last year’s tournament, Krystal Nelson of Tunica, MS finished 119 out of the 5,619 participating players at the WSOP and took home winnings of $54,965.

More than 170 players competed over the two-day tournament.
