Tunica is the name of the county and the town which is the county seat in the north delta of Mississippi. Once known as the poorest county, Tunica now thrives with 9 casino resorts and 15,000 jobs from the gaming industry. From Cotton fields to the bright lights of the casinos Tunica continues to draw gamblers from all over the country.
Tunica doesn't have "the strip" like Vegas, instead 9 casinos are scattered along the Mississippi River between the cotton fields and the river. Each casino is a barge and is moored in water. Very clever engineers have made it so most of the casinos you don't even notice they are on water. The River is visible from Fitzgerald's Casino and Gold Strike Casino.
Tunica is for the gambler. No water parks, no amusement parks, just southern hospitality, good food, generous comps, and good gaming entertainment. Just minutes south of Memphis, Tennessee in the wide open cotton fields lies the third most sought after gaming destination in the country.
