Travis Rocks Harrah's...
Harrah's Rocks with Travis

Maybe it is the fact I grew up in South Memphis and watched Elvis go from doing high school dances to the King of Rock n Roll, that makes me a hard sell on a Tribute Artist. I was sold at Harrah's Tunica. In the last 26 years since Elvis's death, we have all heard of Elvis sightings. Elvis at Burger King, Elvis in Vegas. There are more Elvis impersonators than Elvis had birthdays. Friday night I saw where Elvis really lives, in the hearts and memories of his fans brought to life my Travis's performance.

A young man named Travis LeDoyt from Nashville is a true talent. Yes, he is good, really good. Travis has the look only nature could provide, no make up, no plastic surgery, just a spitting image of Elvis in his 20's.

The peachy complexion, the sparkly eyes, the captivating smile, the high energy and rhythms we all have in our "Elvis Memory" are alive in Travis. With each tune he sang the Elvis in him became stronger and stronger.

The audience couldn't sit still with numbers like "Jail House Rock". Blue Suede Shoes, King Creole. When Travis would sing the slow songs, the love songs, like Love Me Tender a mystical stillness came across the room. All you could hear was the song , your heart beat and awe. I over heard an audience member speaking to Travis, " Honey, you made this 86 year old heart feel good again!" He gave everyone a good feeling. Mr. LeDoyt is an awesome entertainer. His performance was spiced with comedy and southern friendliness. If he couldn't sing and didn't look like Elvis he would still be a successful comedian.

Treat yourself! Grab a friend or your spouse and head to Harrah's during April, May, June and July and catch Travis LeDoyt at Harrah's Tunica. I know we will go back to catch his show again.
