Jack Effel Named Poker Room Manager at Horseshoe
TUNICA RESORTS, MS – – Horseshoe Casino & Hotel Tunica is proud to announce Jack Effel has been named Poker Room Manager. Jack assumes his new position coming directly from the overwhelming success of the World Series of Poker Circuit Event held recently at Grand Casino Resort. Jack has served as a director of the nationally recognized event since 2005. He has been a poker room supervisor at Horseshoe in Tunica since 2000. Prior to Tunica, Jack worked as a shift manager in the poker room at Horseshoe Casino in Bossier City, Louisiana from 1997 to 2000. He began his casino career in 1997 as a table games dealer/supervisor at Sam’s Town in Tunica.
“We are very pleased to have Jack join the management team at Horseshoe,” said Warren Mason, Director of Casino Operations for Horseshoe Casino. “Jack’s strong background in poker and table games operations, as well as his passion for the business, makes him a strong addition to our team.”
Originally from Dallas, Texas, Jack graduated from the University of Mississippi with a bachelor’s degree in Real Estate Finance. He also has earned two associate degrees from Northwest Mississippi Community College, in Accounting and Business Administration. Jack and his wife, Elisha, currently reside in Southaven.
