Union Mission - Memphis - shelter for the homeless
We believe one of our responsibilities on earth is to look out for others and give when we can. Last June many of the visitors to Tunica-MS.com met for an informal get together and brought shampoos and toiletries they had collected from many hotel stays. We bagged these in individual sets and gave them to the Union Mission for the homeless in Memphis. Some of the gamblers even brought additional items such as items for women and children, shaving supplies, towels, and underwear. The shelter was very appreciative.
We will do the same this year. So hang on to those little bars of soap and shampoos they are perfect to pass along to those in need. We will be posting our next collection soon.
Children's Charities
Our newest project is a cookbook. The proceeds will go to Children's Charities. We had hoped to have ready in time for Mother's Day, but looks like it will be fall of 2003.
We want YOUR favorite recipes! Many Casino Chefs have graciously and most eagerly jumped in to share their favorites. We believe this will be a fun way to share our recipes, and learn from the pros while lending a helping hand to children in need.
Plus the cookbook will make a great gift and memoir.
